Hi All, Im wondering if anyone could share their experiences. Im working in a project trying to implement/exploring the option of using location/network heuristics. The approach im taking now is using the planning file and then based on low level codes run heuristics and execute batch jobs. Is there any better approach which you can share?

Saving Multiple LUW's from SMQ2 to SMQ3
Hello,
We are in a situation where we have hundreds of entries in the Inbound queue on SAP ERP that have been sent incorrectly from our SCM system. We would like to same these into SMQ3 for the time being but don't know how to save multiple LUW's.
Can anyone let us know if this is possible?

Optimizing resources with differing strategies in a single shot
Hi gurus,
We're using the PP/DS Optimizer to finitely plan one of our location, works fine up to now but we'd be interested to finetune strategy per resources DURING the optimization (meaning not after the optimization run through dedicated heuristics for instance).
Basically the requirement would be to apply a different strategy (Backward scheduling or Compact scheduling) per resource during a single optimization run, for instance: resources R1 & R2, optimize at the same time:
- R1 with Compact scheduling
- R2 with Backward scheduling
Selection of resources beeing done "outside" the optimization profile, would there exist a possible way or an alternative way to achieve such a requirement? (even through Badl/enhancement if not feasable in standard)

CTM Dropping demand
Why CTM is not Planning for few demands when running for set (say 100) of products while all demands get planned when runnig for individual products. following is observation:
1 Checked Resource availabilty , it is not overloaded for any bucket.
2 Maximum ealiness and lateness maintained for 400 days in Global setting for CTM (so all demands should get planned)

Change pointers during CCR
Hi All,
Can someone explain me 1) what are change pointers and what they do in APO. 2) why should we process the change pointers during CCR , why not push to R/3 directly instead of process change pointers , basically we do this when we have a message " Not in APO (Preq's)" and "missing in r/3 without external key. 3) what is the difference between these inconsistency msg's " missing in r/3 without external key and with external key in CCR

Shipment Creation optimizer -Resource specific
We have run in to an issue with TPVS shipment creation optimizer - The optimizer is not selecting the resources from the optimizer profile during the shipments creation, It appears optimizer doesn't respect the resources assignment from the profiles instead considering all the resources and creating the shipments. as an example: We have defined resources 10 to 19 in one profile-1 and resources 20 to 29 in another profile-2. however when the optimizer runs on profile 1 the shipments are having the resources from profile 2.
Can you please share some ideas on how to control the shipment creation optimizer to pick the resources assigned from optimizer profiles?

Error while creating "Planning Version"
This is new system which has SCM 7.0
My collegue is getting below error when he is trying to create planning version.
"an application error has occurred in the livecache " and when we click on Q mark it says message no" /SAP APO/MVM075"

Issue in Maintaining Setup Group Category and Setup Group key
Hi,
1.) I have an issue in maintaining the same setup group key in multiple setup group category for a location. My client has maintained setup group key in multiple setup group category in ECC. But the same when i CIF it to APO i am getting error message saying that is setup group key is already maintained for this location.
Example : Which is maintained in ECC as below
Location = A
Setup Group = A
Setup group key = ABC
Location = A
Setup Group = B
Setup Group key = ABC
Not allowing to maintian in SCM
2.) System is not allowing to maintain the same name for setup group and setup group key in SCM. But in ECC it is allowing to maintain it like that. When i CIF it is throwing me the error message saying that setup group and setup group key must have different names.
Example : Which is allowing to maintain in ECC as below
Setup Group = NA
Setup group key = NA
Not allowing to maintain in SCM
Please let me know you have some solution

Unable to login though SAP Logon onto SAP SCM EHP1
Hi,
We have installed SAP SCM EHP1 on AIX 710 - SP1 with DB2 9.7 FP3. Installation of ASCS,DB and CI was succesful and System came up with all the instances running stable.
When I try to login to the system from SAP LOGON from windows client, the intial screen pops-out .
Once I enter SAP* credentials ,the screen remains still , not allowing me to login,logout or do any trasactions.
Not sure on which logs would have information but I could see these errors in dev_w0 .

Many to one product discontinuation in SNP Location Heuristics
Hello,
We have a business scenario where want to plan for Many - 1 Product discontinuation while running Location Heuristics. We are on SCM 7.0, we know that as per SAP standard solution this is not supported by Location Heuristics in SNP. We can do part of this in Demand planning but problem remains to consume the stock at the preceding material before actually starting the planning at succeeding material.
Has anybody configured this using some enhancement in SNP ? If yes could you please share the solution.

Error while saving Inventory Planning Results in SAP Service Parts Planning (SPP)

When I am try to save the inventory planning results in the UI (/sapapo/sppinvp) below exception is being raised.

Variant contents of /SAPAPO/RTSCOPY for subscreens
Hello Users,
I am facing an issue with FM 'RS_CHANGE_CREATED_VARIANT'.
I am building a custom program to update variants for program /SAPAPO/RTSCOPY.
While doing so I am successfull in updating the required values, but this FM clears of the values from the Source and Target Key Figures in the Key Figure Assignment tab.
I believe this is because the Source and Target KF's are in a subscreen, hence the FM is unable to handle the records.
I used FM RS_VARIANT_CONTENTS to get the contents of the Variant but it doesnt show any fields or values from the subscreen for KFs.
Can anyone suggest ways of updating the source and Target KF's back into the variant or suggest an FM which willl not clear those values?
