Hello,

I have issue to obtain forecast calculation with Like Profile management.

Here are the settings I would like to have :

Basic settings Family / Product / Location

Like Profile (model) created with Family OR Product.

For exemple

Family      : Planes

Product      : *

Location     : *

Model         :  Family Cars

I have 24 months of history  for Family Cars, which should be fine.

In this case, I dont have forecast calculation, and the following message :

NOT POSSIBLE TO CARRY OUT THE FORECAST, no HISTORICAL DATA.

I made 2 different tests :

TEST 1

Basic Settings Family / Location

Like Profile (model)

Sequence dependent lot-size planning as a basis for PP/DS blocks?

$

Hi ,

I consider the following system setup for a Mill Products planning implementation .

1) In SNP one performs SOP planning with common goals to adjust sales plan, establish equipment maintenance plan, transportation plan, etc. The first month of the SNP plan is supposed to be in daily buckets. Using the SNP optimizer is a good option since the business goal is to use equipment more efficiently, let's say to minimize setup costs, and there are warehouse limitations for semifinished products as well.

2) In PP/DS we are going to use CDP and block planning since it is the best practice.

3) SNP planned orders can be used as a basis for PP/DS blocks on the resource, upon the condition that the configuration of SNP product - kmat variant and block requirements match.

In SNP i  see that the SNP PDS has a duration of 1 day (that's fine), but the sequence dependent lot-size planning requires a bucket of at least 1 week long (1 month in my case) since the SNP orders are sequence-optimized only inside of one bucket. The result of such an optimization are additional counters assigned to SNP orders according to their sequence  minimizing setup costs. However, orders are not scheduled according to the sequence.

So far it looks like such a combination is not useful as

- Orders in monthly buckets are not scheduled on days and cannot serve as a basis for block dates proposal for PP/DS block planning.

- If a product production volume is less than 1 day, SNP cannot create any more detailed block in principle since the minimal time bucket is daily bucket.

I searched over forums on these or similar topics, however no definitive answer so far for the question in the subj.

Could anyone bring more  light on this ? Maybe I am missing something in the setup or sequence dependent lot size planning was designed for other purposes/industries?

Best regards

Vladimir

Selectively disable change of master data fields in a tab of product-location master APO

Dear all , We have a requirement to selectively disable change access of master data fields in a tab of product-location master in APO. Example: - In Procurement tab of product-location master, user should have change access to procurement type but not to planned delivery time. Can you please let me know if we can meet this by any standard SAP functionality or if you have worked on such developments. Thanks in advance, Regards, Mrigendra

Capacity Consumption of Process Orders Query

$

Hi Forum,

The client has process orders passing from ECC to APO and the busienss user looks at the SNP Capacity planning book view to see the resource capacity load.

This was all working fine when the ECC scheduling type on the process order was either: 5: Forwards in Time, or 6 Backwards in time.

Yesterday there was a change in ECC where they starting using the scheduling type: 3 Only Capacity Requirements.

SInce thsi chnage APO has stopped recognising the capaicty consumption on the resources. The Process order still appears in APO SNP planning books, but not in the capacity book.

Is '3 Only Capacity Requirements' compatible with APO SNP?

When a process order was changed back to '5 Forwards in Time' in ECC COR2, it would instantly pass to APO and the capacity consumption would return.

Is there some SPRO config somewhere?

Adding new field to product allocation catalog?

$

We are configuring product allocations in SCM 7.0 and have a requirement to add a new field to the standard field catalog for the allocations check.  We have followed the procedure outlined by SAP to add our new field to the structure /SAPAPO/KOMGOZ, add the field to the field catalog, and copied the source code to ERP.

The issue that we are having is that new custom field that we added to the field catalog is not being populated when we execute /SAPAPO/ATPQ_PAREA_K - Characteristics Combinations from Planning Area.  The product allocations group that is being used in /SAPAPO/ATPQ_PAREA_K has three characteristics. The first two which are SAP provided fields are being populated correctly, but the last custom field we added to the field catalog is not. It is just blank.

Is there a step that we missed during the configuation.  We are only using this field for the product allocations check (we do not use Rules Based ATP).

Hello Guru,

i want to enable my auto complete option in my system so as to get the past transaction or any codes quickly by pressing SPACEBAR, all other systems have this feature, they just by pressing spacebar get their TCodes or any inputs instead of typing the whole.

i also tried by getting into customizing layout in SAP system and turned on its history, but still its not coming. what may be the reason???.

all my colleagues have this feature in their system. and even after changing their setting its coming

pls revert asap, as i will not waste my time in writing the whole Tcodes.

Long runtimes while performing CCR

Hello All,

After running the delta report job we found some inconsistency for stocks when we try to delete or push to apo ( once performing the iteration ) the entries are not being deleted nor pushed  and is taking long runtimes. We dont see this issue for any other elements except stocks. Please let me know the reasons on why this would be happening and also please let me know if there is any way in which we can rectify this inconsistency for stock b/w ECC and apo .

Differentiating between Planned orders & Process Orders in DS Board

$

Hi Experts,

I want to have my planning board profile configuration in such a way that when I convert a planned order to process order the color of the planned order should change in DS board on conversion to process order.

For example :

Case 1 - I see planned order in color Blue(this being the default color) in DS board, now when I convert this planned order to process order , I want to the color of this process order to be green.

Case 2 - I have a custom field in product master where I can maintain a color in which I wish to view orders in DS board.Say I have maintained color Red in product master. Now all orders of this product is visible in Red in DS board. In this case can  is there any configuration by which I can differentiate between planned and process orders.

I am aware the we can identify planned and process order based on their number ranges but I am looking for a way they can be differentiated by colors.

Appreciate your help.

Thanks

problem CTM calculation in case of IC groups

$

Hello all,

We have some problems with the calculation of production plan with CTM for interchangeable products.

Example:

Model A will be replaced by model B on 01/12/2014. Model A has a demand of 200 pcs safter 01/12/2014 and a stock of 500 pcs at the end of the horizon. Model B has a demand of 2000 pcs from 01/12/2014 onwards.

We created an IC group for both products with following characteristics:

     Valid date = 01/12/2014

     Location = Cross-location

     Direction = Full

     Use up strategy = Yes

After we run CTM, we see that 2200 planned orders are created for model B.

The 500 pcs of model A, which are still in stock at the end of the horizon, are not taking into account.

From my point of view, if direction is set on full, also supplies of model A should still be taken into account and only 1700 planned orders should be created for model B.

Kind regards,

David

Deployment Optimizer - Modeling question

$

I am new to the Deployment/Optimizer area.  I have modeled a scenario as described below.

And have a few questions on what I would like to happen during deployment.

Central DC: CDC1, Regional DCs: RDC1 & RDC2

Product gets deployed from Central CDC1 to RDC1 & RDC2.  I have customer demand and forecasts at all the three locations.

I have defined ATD Receipts category group as just Stock on hand only (category CC) and ATD Issues includes AY, BH, BI,

BM, BR, EB etc.  These two categories are assigned to the Location Master.

I have specified Fair Share Rule "A" in the Product master and location dependent penalty costs in SNP1 tab.

In the Deployment Optimizer profile I have mentioned that the Distribution is based on Lowest Costs for both Supply Shortage

and Supply Surplus.  I have defined a Pull Depl. Horizon of 10 days, and blank for Push Deployment and SNP Checking Horizon.

When I run the deployment with all the three locations, what I notice is that the Customer orders and forecast of the Central DC are

satisfied before deploying anything to the Regional DCs.

My requirement is that the Central DC should deploy the available quantity at the Central equally among the Centrals and the Regional

DCs on a fair share basis for the Sales orders first, then the remainder of the stock should be deployed, again among Central and

Regional DCs on a fair share basis for the forecast and the safety stock is the last.

How can I achieve this equal deployment among central and regionals even though Central is the source location.

Could somebody let me know how to model this above requirement?

Thanks,

Venkat

Dear Experts,

While releasing the forecast using MC90 for the newly created CVCs, we are getting the error - 'There are no plannable characteristic combinations'. I have checked the following things:

1. Displayed the CVCs using MC62 to check if they have been created properly

2. Executed /SAPAPO/TSCONS for the DP planning area

3. Executed the program - /sapapo/ts_pstru_cons_check to check the planning object structure consistency

The error still persists. Please guide.

Mass Maintenance of Resource in APO within the /SAPAPO/RES01

Has ever anybody used and worked with the mass resource maintenance in APO within the /SAPAPO/RES01 ?

Since no any hint in the related help.sap.com, OSS, a step by step guide would be appreciated by the whole APO community.

No, I we are not interested about the MASSD, since this has no such options like the RES01 would offer. Like the mass Capacity or Shift seq. assignment.

Production order dates not in sync between ECC and APO

$

Dear Folks,

Currently we are facing below two issues related to production orders.

1) Production order dates not in sync between ECC and APO.

To give some background, planned orders are created during the weekend CTM run which are then converted to production orders in ECC. When the production order is in either created or released status, the scheduled start and finish dates in ECC match with the start and end dates in APO, but when either the first or last operation is confirmed, the confirmed start date from production order in ECC overwrites the start date of production order when see in productview in APO and thus the dates for the production order in ECC and APO get out of sync.

Also, when I re-schedule the production order in ECC after the first operation is confirmed (assuming 2 more operations are remaining) the new schedued dates are calculated based on the time taken for remaining 2 operations and these new scheduled dates are passed on to APO. In this situation the dates are in sync.

Help me understand the behaviour.

2) Production orders not generated by PPDS are having status 'EXTS' (Orders scheduled by external system).

For some production orders which are converted from planned orders generated through CTM, the status of these orders are EXTS even when the scheduling of these orders are happening in ECC.

For test purposes, I pushed the inconsistent production orders to R/3 which led to setting of the status to 'EXTS'.

In which scenario, the status of the production orders can be set to EXTS other than mentioned above (PPDS prod orders/orders pushed to R/3 in CCR)?

consider Order Priority with DS Heuristics

$

Hello SAP gurus,

This is PPDS heuristics question (/sapapo/cdpsb0)...

Currently I am facing issue trying to let a heuristics consider order priority field (populated with PP run - inherited into planned orders) at PP or DS heuristics run. I tried changing Sorts Procedure with a heuristics copied from SAP_PP_002, but it did not work as desired. I tries using a copy of SAP_DS_02 with sort section maintained with priority 0 thru 255, but it only seems to consider/not-consider orders marked with priorities, and it does not actually prioritize planned orders while scheduling.

Example of what is desired is as follows.

Same Resource (single-mix) for production) to produce Product A and Product B.

Product B has priority 1, where Product A has priority 2.

-- Following () numbers are planned numbers generated with PP run:

Product A -- has requirements posted  -- (3) Aug/30th 10ea, (2) Sept/5th 10ea, (1) Sept/15th 10ea.

Product B -- has requirements posted -- (6) Aug/29th 10ea, (5)Sept/5th 10ea, (4) Sept/10th 10ea.

With DS heuristics run, hoping it would sequence as follows:

Aug/26th - Product B - (6) - 10ea

Aug/30th - Product A - (3) - 10ea

Sept/5th - Product B - (5) - 10ea <-- this comes first

Sept/5th - Product A - (2) - 10ea <-- this comes later

Sept/10th - Product B - (4) - 10ea

Sept/15th - Product A - (1) - 10ea

I appreciate for any clue to do this, using standard functionality -- since requesting additional developments we face several months to do so.

Best Regards,

Miki

DP Run Interactive Macro / write result in past (read only)

$

Hello,

I work with SCM7.0

In my planning view DP I didnot authorize to modify  data in the past columns (/SAPAPO/MSDP_ADMIN).

Problem is the following one : I have a interactive macro in this planning view, which fullfill my sales (in the past).

It does not work anymore because cells in the past of my planning view cannot be modified.

1) If there a way to unlock my planning view  at the beginning of the macro, and at the end, locked the cells back ?

2) Other solution : do you know a way how to block row only in the past ?

Row_input(0) has an effect in past and future...

Thanks a lot for your help

Pierre
