Hi Experts,
In APO for alphanumeric material number I have to enter nine leading zeros before material number otherwise it will show material does not exist in APO.
But ECC system automatically takes whether alphanumeric material is with leading zeros or not.
So what is the issue in APO?
Why APO system does not take automatically the alphanumeric material like ECC system?
Please help me out.

We have recently refreshed our APO development and Pre-Production systems .As a part of that we have refrehsed Live-cache also(MAXDB database)
After refresh when we go to LC10 transaction and enter the Name of the database connection->Livecache monitoring with DBA Cockpit ,it gives an error message at the bottom saying "Error when determining the data" .
When checked the details further it says
Error when calling function module DBAN_GET_STATE Name and Server : Function : DBM_EXECUTE Command : dban_state Error : DBM Error Return Code : -24907 Error Message : ERR_DBAWRONG: Wrong database system administrator ERR -24907,ERR_DBAWRONG: Wrong database system administrator -24988,ERR_SQL: SQL error -4008,Unknown user name/password combination
I have maintained the correct passwords in DB59 t-code and connection tests are workign fine there
COuld you please check and help me to fix this issue

Hi,
We are having requirement within RBATP as follows.
1) Item line quantity can be split in to 2 location based on RBATP (Loc. determination) but this should be with minimum order quanitty from one location.
2)If sales order is having multiple different line items then those needs to be confirmed from one location instead of splitting it because of having single packing of items for one sales order.
Can we fullfill these 2 situation with RBATP as well.

Hi gurus,
I have a custom program which calls an heuristic with the FM /SAPAPO/HEUR_DO_HEURISTICS. The heuristic I'm calling executes the algorithm /SAPAPO/HEU_PLAN_STANDARDLOTS and as result, new planned orders are created if needed.
My question is the following:
When I run the heuristic from the RRP3 transaction, I can see the new planned orders after the execution, and the orders are finally created in the system when I push in the 'Save' button.
But when I'm running the heuristic from my custom program, the new orders are not saved in the system. I think after tha calling to the FM for launch the heuristic, It's required some kind of commit work...
Does anybody know how to do this? My skills in APO are still so basic.

I have a doubt that I think is simple, but I do not have much knowledge about APO.
I am working in a custom program which needs to perform different actions for finished products and I don´t know how to identify them. In ECC it's so simple, cause MATKL indicates it (FERT = Finished product).
How to know in APO if a material is a finished product? I am looking for a field on master data as in ECC but I dont find anything. Perhaps the hierarchy material will be also usefull for this, but I am lookin for something simple.
Any ideas?

Actually I want to know why we have to put prefixes before material number in APO where as in ECC we dont have to put that prefixes.
For example:
Material is "555555555" .
When we use this material in ECC as "555555555" or "000000000555555555" it is working fine.
But when we use this material in APO as "000000000555555555" it is working and if we use this material in APO as "555555555" without any prefix it is showing material does not exist in APO.
Why this is happening?
Can we do something so that whether we use 000000000555555555 or 555555555 in APO ,it will work fine.

In Excel you can set up a cell to be selected froma dropdown with a list of options, is there anyway I can set up a key figure to be selected froma list of dropdown options?
eg, my key figure is :Demand Confidence level.
I would like the user to be able to select one of these 3 categories:
1- 100%
2 - >75%
3 - <75%
How can I do this? all clever suggestions considered, even if I just ask the user to type in a value of 1, 2 or 3.. is there a way to have a key presented somewhere on the screen so they can see what each number refers to?

I have a requirement to capture a date in a key figure. I have set up the key figure as date type in RSA1, and this suggests its YYYYMMDD. But in the planning book it keeps on displaying it as 20,140,601
Does anyone have any tips on ways to have dates shown in Demand Planning? can i remove the comma's from just this key figure?

I am calling the BAPI [ PBSRVAPS_GETLIST2] within a Z function. This Z function is called from a Macro. After the macro run, if i try to do load the selection again/drill down, i get a message "Error reading characteristics of planning book".
Any light thrown on this would be greatly appreciated.

I currently ran into a problem, which is Shipment History Qty Mismatch in APO-BI Info cube with respect to Planning Book. As per my analysis i have checked the shipment history for a particular material for a posting period in ECC and then checked in APO-BI info cube here the qty is same, but when the data is loaded from info cube to planning area in shipment key figure the qty is being mismatched. We have a background job for loading the data from BI info cube to planning area, i have checked the variant for TSCUBE transaction here "add data" is unchecked.
Any help in this would be appreciated.!

Have an issue in the CCR . The PO/req CCR and Planned /production order CCR are failing technically. That is the job has a successs status , but it is not comparing and logging the inconsistencies . In the spool we see that 0 orders were compared (total 0 , errors 0 ).
We also noticed that short dumps were created (error message CALL_FUNCTION_SEND_ERROR) around the time of completion of the above jobs . The short dump says communication error occured when executing Remote Function call. we did not change any setting in the system recently. Not sure why this error is occuring.
Any pointers would help.

I am getting issue in the report which i have created to lock and unlock planning area, Its working fine I have used FM /SAPAPO/TS_DM_LOCK ,when I am executing the lock option it is locking planning area but when i am getting out of the report selection screen lock is released, This should not have to happen until and unless we unlock the planning area,

Hi Experts,
We are having senario, where we need to use product allocation along with MISL functionality.
- We are having MTO strategy and using product allocations for plant capcity. We are using GATP for SO confirmation based on product allocation situation from different plants (Location determiantion by using RBATP).
But in one senario for one cateory of product we need to check different locations but confirm all items of sales order from one locations only. In this case we are trying to use MISL (multi item single delivery) process along with location determiantion check for product allocations.
We have ceated 2 rules (1 for MISL & 1 for Location substitution). But while testing we observed, MISL rule evaluation is not working as well as it is not going in product allocations from sales order even though MISL rule is determine correctly in SO.
Kindly guide us with step wise process or provide documents to make it successful.

Hi All,
When I unconfirm from sales order item in ECC , the table /SAPAPO/SCHEDLIN in APO is successfully deleting the confirmed schedule line(entry with event type 'C'). But when I unconfirm via BOP, the confirmed schedule line is not getting removed from the table /SAPAPO/SCHEDLIN . Is this standard behaviour or am I missing something ?
