CTM is generating SNP requisitions (Distribution Demand Planned KF on Plant) starting on a Sunday available on Monday. We use a 5 day calendar where Sunday is Holiday. Please suggest.

Subcontracting PReq conversion
Hi All,
When I convert a subcontracting SNP- PReq at Plant then it creates an SNP PReqRel at vendor keeping in account PDT (Planned Delivery Time) , Transportation Time and GR time at Plant.
The SNP Planned Order created at vendor is created on the basis of backward scheduling.
( i.e. SNP Planned Order Completion date = Delivery Date at the Plant - Transportation Time - GR time
e.g. SNP Planned Order Completion date( 10th Oct ) = Delivery Date at the Plant(17th Oct) - Transportation Time(4 days) - GR time ( 3 days)
Needless to say here -- SNP Planned Order finishes as per the time maintained in PPM/PDS for operation. ( e.g. say 4 days -- so it starts on 7th Oct).
The issue comes when I convert this SNP Preq at plant to PPDS PReq. The system schedules the order from current date or as soon as possible instead of doing backward scheduling. I checked the strategy profile in SPRO for SNP->PPDS conversion and in that strategy profile -- the direction for scheduling is forward.
As per me it should be backward or backward with reverse if I want the order to finish on 10th Oct as per example above.
This is bcoz between SNP and PPDS -- Transportation Time, GR time, PDT etc all remain same -- so I do not doubt the Master data.
Can you suggest some other pointer --- or only the direction of scheduling in the strategy in strategy profile for SNP->PPDS conversion -- the only probable reason ?

Dear all,
I would like to ask for your help.
I am really interested in implement the TPVS functionality into my transportation management system.
I am looking for documents, references, books, ebooks, e-learnings, configuration plan, list of transactions, use cases, customizing needs that can help me in this process.
I've tried a training, but there is no scheduled training in the next months.
I need a north and direction to start,thus, any kind of material it will be extremely useful.

Optimization run in process chain
Hi,
I am working on SCM 4.0 APO system. When I run the optimization via process chain one of the steps in it fails(optimization run var-Day). I have tested it with individual plant relationship, and found that two plant is causing problem.
When I check SM37- job log, i am getting unusual error called 'Incorrect GUID in table ET_LOC' .
if anybody can give any inputs in this.

Function module or BAPI to get PDS
Hi All,
Using the resource where used list we are able to get all PPM with Plan number(PLNNR). The function module used is /SAPAPO/PPM_GET_PLAN_FOR_RESID. In the same resource where used list we are able to get the PDS also. But I'm unable to find the corresponding Function module to extract all the PDS with resource id (RESID).
Please help me.

Safety days supply Error
Hi All,
I am testing the safety days supply (SZ) method, assigned the method SZ in product master, and maintained safety days of supply.
Using the 9asnp05 planning area and standard planning book 9ASNP_SSP. But the safety days supply is not displayed in the planning book key figure from product master.
Found out that the Safety days macro is not part the planning book, and hence created the new planning book based on the standard planning book.
Created the safety days supply macro as below
Safety Days : ( 25 Iterations :22.08.2013; W 43.2013 )
Row: Safety Days' Supply ( Frm 23.08.2013 ) =
SAFETY_DAYS( ACT_PRODUCT ; ACT_LOCATION ; ACT_VERSION )
However the safety days are not displayed in the planning book.
I am able to enter the data in the key figure manually, if I enter the days 5 and later if i change 8 the safety stock data not calculated based new data.
Help me out where the mistake is.

Plannning Book: How to save Data by Using Macro
Hi
I would like to ask the topic.
I configured macro for calcuration of Forecast Value.
However this is just displaying on the Planning Book.
What I want to do is not only displaying but also Saving Data to liveCache.
Someone, I would really appreciate you if you could tell me how to Configure Macro.

Restrict the authorization to one dataview
Hello SCM Experts,
We have a requirement to restrict one of the dataviews of the planning book to set of users having a unique authorization group. As per some documentation I see that this is controlled at planning book level, but not at the data view level. Is that true ? Is there a way out to solve this problem.

Sub con scenario not working in APO - Heuristic does not plan
Hello There,
I am stuck in sub con scenario in APO
Scenario : Plant "X " and Vendor "V"
Parent Product A Child : Product B , Product A goes to vendor gets packed with product B ( which will be send by plant X) and returns to Plant X.
ECC master data :
BOM for Product A with child B
Sub con PIR : maintained version in PIR.
After CIFing to APO Subcon T lane and PDS at Vendor location got created. Also this products got extended to Vendor locations.
Seems everything in place.
Run the LLC determination for these locations and products.
But when tried to run Heuristic through SNP01, Message appears no LLC exist for Product A and Product B at Vendor "V" locations.
tried to run in planning book interactively - Simply shows 2 locations products processed, but no PRs are generated at Plant "X".
When I manually create sub ocn PR in plant "X" all requirements flow and subcon cycle complets.
Can you please all help me out, am I missing something in this set up ?

Planning in SNP and PPDS - MTO or MTS
Dear Experts,
Here is my question hope some one already came across this ..
There is a DC - A and Plant - B
sales forecast happen 3 months in advance which mean customer give forecast for future 3 months in this 3 months forecast 1st month is firmed sales order
so to summarize one month sales order -dependent requirement and rest of 2 months is forecast Qty which mean rest of two months is independent requirement
so this cycle keeps goes on with time period
Now the requirement is
When sales order is created in DC-A STR should be created and look for stock in Plant-A and definitely the production should start after receive demand from DC-A which is firmed sales order
Solution ??
1)when sales order created in DC-A snp heuristics run and create a STR in DC-A and STO in Plant - correct me if i am wrong
2) Now PP-DS run in Plant-A and system create a planned order for finished good for the sales order and it looks for PDS and dependent requirement happen and planned order created for semi finished-1 and semi finished-2 - correct me if i am wrong
3) if i have two sales order can PPDS heuristics combine two finished good planned order for finished good and make it one in a particular horizon like say a month
Now there is another requirement for purchasing raw material
IT is decided for raw material APO planning is not used instead ECC is used which mean mrp type XO
but they dont want to use re-order point or safety stock instead based on the three months forecast from customer they have to procure or raise a PR before even firmed sales order comes how to handle it
Is this requirement is make to order or make to stock in SAP point of view because i see its kind of both ...
if any one came across this kind of business requirement please advise

Passing price data from SAP ERP to APO DP
I am using APO DP version 5 connected to SAP ERP.
I am forecasting in APO DP at the level of product at customer, and I want to have a key figure in DP containing the relevant price, per time bucket, for the product||customer combination, so that I can calculate a forecast <u>value.</u>
In SAP ERP there is of course price data held in various condition records at various levels (eg product at customer, product etc).
Can anyone advise a good approach for transferring this price data from ERP to APO DP?

LiveCache report slca_setup missing
Hello Community,
we're installing a new SCM 7.02 System with APO.
I followed all the steps in the guide. Now I'm in the LiveCache guide at the step
"3. Execute the program SLCA_SETUP and follow the instructions."
But there is no report called SLCA_SETUP.

APO Timestream Issue for Date Removal
Hello ,
In my project business had design timestream based on the country ID and Location Master . So combination of these two become a Country ID ( SE) + location ( 1000 ) for defining my timestream ID (SE1000)
Right now , In one of the country for specific location we found that two subsequent dates in future will be occuring as holiday in the factory and business has demanded to remove those dates from the specific timestream ID .
Here my question applies that : -
1. if we remove these dates from R/3 factory calendar then it will creates problem to my other location for the same country when we will import these changes through global transfer setting in APO. ( Or)
2. Suppose I remove specific those dates from the time stream ID for that specific country + location type then my purposes will solve but I would like to know whether this will create a problem in future if someone will re- generate timestream again and this leads to inconsistency in timestream ID and calendar .
Please review the problem and suggest valuable feedback ?

Solving errors in SAP APO CIF
Hi Experts,
Could you share tips and tricks to solve error in SAP APO CIF?
I have good knowledge of the subject and can solve most of my common issues, but from time to time there are new ones which are very hard to investigate and solve.
It would be useful to have a list of the transactions you find most useful. Of course there will be the basics as CIF compare, SM1/2,... but I guess some of you will have extra ones as how you go in debug and so on....
