Our company is about to upgrade to EhP2 in APO (SCM) 7.0. We found out that EhP3is delayed, but may be ready at the end of September. We are trying to decide whether to wait or not.
I could not find any information on what is included in EhP3. Can anyone provide me with details, make a suggestion on whether we should wait or point me in the right direction of any online documentation regarding EhP3?

I have the requirement of X quantity somewhere in the future and when I run PPDS planning, planned orders are being created just meeting the requirement date, which is common. But I wanted to schedule those orders at the earliest possible date/time. I tried the following approaches...
1. Reschedule function with the strategy profile to consider earliest date - all the orders are scheduling at the earliest date but it is violating the order-internal relation, ie subassembly order is the input for finished goods order, so finished goods order should not start until the sub-assembly order finishes but here both orders are starting at the same earliest time. (I defined the order-int relation to always consider in strategy profile). If I consider dynamic pegging in strategy profile, order-int relations are good, but not taking the earliest date.
2. Stable Forward Scheduling - Order internal relations are perfect but it is not taking the earliest date/time. I tried giving offset time in the heuristic but of no use. Using this heuristic along with strategy profile in planning run also didn't worked.
Is there a way to use Stable Forward Scheduling heuristic and to take the earliest date/time.

We are in a situation where we have hundreds of entries in the Inbound queue on SAP ERP that have been sent incorrectly from our SCM system. We would like to same these into SMQ3 for the time being but don't know how to save multiple LUW's.

I would like to ask your support for an issue related to APO scheduling.
Recently, the operation team has requested a change in SAP to make the system able to acept sales orders with the request delivery date on weekends and holidays. (Just for your information, the operation here does not work 7 days a week, but eventually sales orders need to be shipped on weekends.)
However, since the system now accepts having the request delivery date being assigned to any of the 7 days of the week, when the back order job runs in the morning, SAP already assigns to the next day the request delivery date in the order - not considering if the next day is a weekend or holiday.
Since the carrier labels are printed based on the request delivery date, this situation can cause an issue in the operation when having deliveries being shipped on Monday with labels showing delivery date as Saturday, for example.
Case 1: Sales order created by Customer Service on Friday:
1. Customer service creates the order and assigns the Req. Delivery Date to Monday
2. Delivery is picked, packed and PGI on Friday.
3. Customer receives the goods on Monday - no issue.
Case 2: Back Order job runs on Friday morning:
1. The system allocates the stock and assigns the Req. Delivery Date to Saturday (next day)
2. Delivery is picked, packed and PGI on Friday
3. The delivery date assigned in the carrier label shows Saturday, but the Delivery will just be shipped to customer on Monday (working day).
How can we avoid having back orders with the request delivery date on weekends?

I am working on SNC project which includes POC scenario.I have completed all the required configuration in R/3 4.6c and SNC5.1 system. The master data (mat, plant,vendor and Info records) are CIFed from R/3 to SNC, BP and MoT created in SNC. All the MD BAdIs are implemented in SNC. I am trying to post a PO from R/3 to SNC, IDOCS are successfully generated, PI has converted the IDOCS into XML messages, but i am getting XML error in SNC system (sxmb_moni) which states-
1) Product key 000000000123456 (category ID) not found
2) Item 00001: Product is missing or invalid
3) Order, item 00001: Product 000000000123456 does not exist
4) BOL processing failed. XML-message inbound processing has been terminated.
I am able to post the PO successfully in SNC Web UI which has alpha numeric product number (eg- 1120-110), but products with numerical value leading zeroes (eg- 000000012345) do not get posted. These product IDs give error in SNC sxmb_moni.
I have set up the output format of product number with 40.
Appreciate your help.
Is there any kind of configuration required for leading zeroes in any of the systems (R/3,PI or SNC)

1. In APO - while calculating the value of Fixed and variable capacity consumption -- for PPM
(a) (Time continuous--cap1,cap2)the formula used is that of Scheduling tab in workcenter in R/3 and
(b) (Bucket --bcap1,bcap2) the formula used is bcap1 = ( dur1 * BoM Base Quantity ) / Recipe Base Quantity
My doubt is -- what is the difference between the methods in which above capacity consumptions are calculated between SNP and PPDS PPM.
(assuming that no reource which is marked 'not relevant for SNP' in R/3 i.e. all resources are SNP as well as PPDS relevant).
2. From which ECC fields in routing/BOM -- the values of activity duration(dur1/dur2) is derived ?
3. From which ECC fields in routing/BOM -- the values of Fixed and Variable consumption of material components are derived in PPM ?

We have a T-lane setup from the source location A to destination B for a particular material. However, when running SNP Network heuristic, it generated SNP Purchase Requisition with out a source of supply. Can you please help me understand what would caused this?

/SAPAPO/RPT (T-code) - has the resource name, in the debug mode the structure I_OBJECT_KEYS ( TYPE
/SAPAPO/HEUR_OBJECT_KEYS) gets filled with Resource ID in the table RESID_TAB.
I would like to use a FM to get the information instead of reading from the table /sapapo/res_head.
Please suggest me if you guys are using any FM which gets the resource information from resource id?

Currently we are facing an issue with the sales orders when Back order processing is triggered from APO system. We have the concept of main item, sub item and sub item is the one relevant for delivery. When back order processing is triggered from APO, standard program initially sets the sub item for deletion, then does a availability check and create the sub item back in the sales order. In some cases, it is not creating the sub items back so we are losing the delivery relevant item from the sales orders. We believe it happens when desired delivery date is not met but couldn't confirm.
Availability check rule is set to 'C' in R/3.
Kindly advise on this.

I would like to share the issue we faced with you.
We were facing CIF job facing issue regularly due to Creation not possible (Mapping for product xxxxx already exists xxxxx ) Message no. /SAPAPO/MAT059 and our APO CIF got blocked.
so we analyzed and find the solution.
Solution.
This issue comes due to chnages in the "long code print format" in R/3 side.
So ask you R/3 or PP Team to check the Old & new format for the Material.
Then in APO Side follow the below steps.
1. We have to delete old code for material.
2. login to APO and enter /n/WUF t-code. check where this material are used.
3. Enter /n/SAPAPO/CULL_RTO_DEL t-code to delete it's PDS.
4. Enter /n/sapapo/mat1 and select flag for deletion option from Product Manu

In our scenario we have a production step in which multiple operations from different orders have to start at the same time.
Now we are looking for a way to connect these operations. How could we solve our problem in SAP APO?
Is it possible to creaty activity relationships outside of one order or operation?
I have also read about external relationships in the ERP modul CS. Could it be possible to apply a solution from this angle?

I have a resource CIFed from R3 WC and its functioning properly .This WC is using a reference capacity (not a ref workcentre) .This Workcentre is created as a multimixed due to multiple capacities.
Now i want to change the capacity from 2 to 4 and for that tried to do RIMODINI as CFm2 is not updating the capacities to 4.
during this I am getting an error as "Only use resources of the same type for the reference resources" Message no. /SAPAPO/DMRES119. and CIF steps failes and unsuccessful to transfer the changes.

We use SCM SNP for our short & long term planning. We are on SCM 702. We have some 100
items on subcontracting where we supply components. The vendor has 4 different resources which are dedicated to our production. We often get into capacity issue and orders are getting delayed or re-prioritized and rescheduled with last minute notifications. We want to perform capacity planning of those resources in SNP.
Currently our planners analyze the capacity manually and set the priority to orders and keep
changing them as we do not have visibility of capacity load. How do we model these resources in SNP to perform capacity leveling since these resources are not in our plant?
