I tried to delete the Safety stock records in APO with proram /sapapo/rlcdelte and /sapapo/delete_pp_order, but of no use..
Pls suggest the method or program to delete.

Sequence dependent setup activity does not have a mode
Hi,
We are facing a problem in production when converting the planned order to process order.When conversion indicator is set in APO, the key is moving to ECC creating a process order but the process order is not moving to APO.The inconsistencies were found in CPP and CCR.In CPP the error is showing as "Sequence dependent setup phase does not have a mode" . There were no recent changes done in resources and PDS.
Since our Quality is refreshed every month I tried to replicate there but when i convert a planned order to process order it was working there.I compared the PDS and resources in quality in production but there was no difference.
Please suggest what else should I search to find the root cause .

APO Capacity Levelling Buckets
Hi Forum,
My question is relatively simple and I have been surprised not to find the answer myself with Google searches but:
If I had a capacity overload at week10 (for example) and my key settings are: Heuristics levelling, backwards then forwards..would it only look to move into week 9, then if not possible week 11? or will it look at week 9, then week 8, then week 7 etc..
Is there a way to control the extent at how far 'backwards and forwards it looks? If there is no control is it feasible that a overload in week 100 could be moved to week 4 (assuming al the other master data and settings allow this and its the first spare space)

Data in Planning book vs cube
Hi Experts,
We have a cube for sales data , the data will upload to planning area through BW, this job is running dialy.
For one product in April month open sales order in the Cube is zero but in the planning book its showing 1 for the same.
Any clue, why data in the cube and planning book is diffeent.

Pointers for optimizing system performance (run time) while running DP process chain with parallel processing
Hi Experts,
We are running APO DP process chain with parallel processing in our company, we are experiencing some issues regarding run time of process chain, need your help on below points;
- What are the ways we can optimize process chain run time.
- Special points we need to take care of in case of parallel processing profiles used in process chain.
- Any specific sequence to be followed for different processes in process chain - if there is some best practice followed.
- Any notes suggesting ways to improve system performance for APO version 7 with different enhancement packs 1 and 2.

9AMATNR issue in CVC loading-BW data
Hi Experts,
We are loading CVC's for the newly created products.
During loading we are checking -SCM data, BW data then we are getting error message newly transferred product 'XXXX does not exists in 9AMATNR"
When I checked Product data is available in product display transaction/SAPAPO/MAT1 (This will updated from ECC to APO through transfer profile)
If we crated manually the newly created products in RSDMD-Basic Characterstic-9AMATNR we are not getting this error message.
How to overcome this; with out adding newly created products manually in 9AMATNR or is there any background process to automatically update characterstic-9AMATNR when new products are transferred from ECC .

MRP Profile change generates huge CIF CFMAT * queues : why ?
Hello,
We are running SAP ECC6 EHP5 and SAP SCM 7.02.
We had the same problem three times over the past month which caused severe business disruption :
MRP Profile change triggered PROFILE change job which then subsequently updated 600k material masters (Plant data).
The generated LUW queues were so huge in SMq1 , that they generated hundreds of timeout, we had to delete them and reactivate the CIF.
(When we look at CFC3 settings we've got filter block size set to the value described in sap note 436527, we will probably adjust the value)
We do not understand , why MRP Profile change generates such big queues as opposed to any other mass master data updates ?
Transfer of data has been set to immediate :
500.000 SMQ1 entries CFMAT* have been generated in a few hours on our ECC system :
Any idea would be very much appreciated.

How can I set production horizon for group of skus
Hi,
I have a problem while doing planning for few skus in APO.
Consider that there is base sku which includes 3 sub skus of same kind. For
example a product is chocolate comes in 3 flavours milk, sugar & sugar
free. Now demand is occurring for all milk, sugar & non sugar then on
taking SNP run planned order will generate on availability dates simultaneously
for all. But I want that if planned order is generating for milk then there
should be no more planned order to be generated for sugar & sugar free. It
should be shifted for next week. What I have to do for this?
Which master setting I have to maintain for this? Please help.

APO DP Proportional factors with LIKE profile settings
Can someone explain how Proportional factors get generated when we setup a new product with LIKE profile settings? We are getting forecast generated at lower levels such as customer characteristic at levels we would not anticipate, and we don't see any proportional factors generated.
Example: we have Existing product A and new product B. We setup the LIKE profile for Product B to replace product A. At the product level the forecast is generated correctly. Currently product A has customers 1, 2, 3, 4 where customer 3 has 80% of the volume and customer 4 has 15% and customers 1 & 2 have the remaining volume. When the forecast is generated for product B customer 4 is getting 60%, customer 3 50% and 1 & 2 the remaining volume. There are no proportional factors generated for this new product. When I try to create proportional factors for the new product it says there is no historical shipments to use which would be correct. How do I get the dis aggregation of customers under product B to use the proportions that were used for product A?

One question issue regarding PPDS production order creation with legal system
Hello Experts:
We are using SAP APO-PP/DS, which is connected to a non-SAP ERP system, when we ticked the conversion indicator for a planned order in /SAPAPO/RRP3, after save it, the planned order is changed to PlOrd.(CF) instead of PrdOrd.
If the PP/DS is connected with SAP ECC, the planned order with conversion indicator will be sent to ECC via CIF, and production order will be created in SAP ECC and sent back to PP/DS,
But now our PP/DS is integrated with non-SAP ERP system, does anybody know how to convert planned order to production order in this environment?

Material Changes not getting transferred to APO
Hi All,
Whenever we use MM02 transaction and make changes to material the changes are getting reflected in APO system
But when use the FM 'MATERIAL_MAINTAIN_DARK' to update the material seems the change pointer is not getting triggered and therefore no update in APO system.
For change pointer MATMAS is checked. Do I also need to to check CIFMAT? Or is there any other issue?

SNP Planned Orders
Hi Team,
I have maintained "In-House Production Time" in material master for my FERT material. I have CIFed the material master to APO. For my FERT material, i do not have routing but i have BOM. I have transferred the BOM to APO through the transaction "CURTO_CREATE_BOM. With this transaction, the PDS has been created in APO only with BOM (without routing).
With this condition, i have SNP planned orders have been created in APO for my FERT item. During SNP planned order creation, will the "In House production time" in material master also be considered?
Suppose, The "In house production time" is 2 days for a material ABC. If the SNP planned orders created for ABC material,will order dates (start date & end date) will be derived by considering the "In house production time"? Or the "SNP Planned Orders" will not consider the "In house production time" at all?

Multi Mix resource - planned order dates not matching
Hi
We are facing planned orders dates mismatch in ECC and APO.
In ECC we have created work center as resource type ‘5’ – Multi mixed resource and its reflected in APO as Multi mixed.
We have 22 hors capacity available per day and number of individual capacities are maintained as 12
So total available capacity per day = 246 hours
The capacity is showing up in APO correctly.
Also, in rate routing ‘required Splitting’ check box is ticked.
When planned order gets scheduled in ECC, system considers 264 available hours in a day and schedule planned order accordingly.
Problem is when plan order CIFed to APO, the days are not matching in ECC and APO.
Please suggest if we are missing any setting related t Multi Mix resource functionality.

Consignment stock vs Unrestricted Stock in SAP APO
DC ( has vendor co location) -------> Tier 2 location ( garage)
can consignment stock (ECC) be considered for replenishment at Tier 2 location in SNP APO by Heuristics / optimizer?
to account for replenishment at Garages from the DC locations , can the consignment stock at DC be used ?
does Heuristics / optimizer consider it to propose transfer orders ?
